Regretfully Announcing that Past Chief Franklin Dull has passed away

The Arnold Volunteer Fire Department regretfully announcing that Past Chief Franklin Dull has passed away.  Chief Dull joined the Department in 1943 and became Chief in 1957 where he remained until 1989. 4th Alarm box 8-11

On July.13,2014 from 10am to 2pm, Members sat in front of the Arnold Safeway promoting the Department and the CPR outreach program. Ocean City Firemen’s Parade 2014

On June.18,2014 the Department Took the Apparatus to Ocean City,MD for the Annual Firemen’s Parade. Nine members took Engine 172, Brush 17, Chief 17 and the Utility. Engine 172 & Brush 17 both won second place in their respective categories. Thanks to all the members who participated and helped out with the apparatus.

On Sunday March.23,2014 at 730am Companies 17 , 12 and 19 went to the BWI training site for a flashover drill. Crews completed a classroom portion as well as two burns to show the conditions of a flashover.

Duty crew catches two working fires and a transfer to PG County

On Sunday March 16,2014 the duty crew started the afternoon off with a transfer to Co.7 while units went to PG County for a working dwelling fire. While enroute fire alarm transferred E172 and Tw-40 to PG Station 839 (bowie). E172 transferred 4 with 1 and ran a medical call in Co.816′s area as well

The party included a friendly firefighter program, letting the kids spray the brush truck booster reel and a surprise visit by Sparky. On February 12,2014 at 3:30pm fire alarm dispatched units to the 200 block of ridgecross ct for a reported dwelling fire. Ant.23 arrived on scene of a 2sty SFD with an attached garage fully involved. Crews knocked the fire and completed searches that were negative. E171 & PM17: D-Shift
